3.0.3 prototype
ac-proto.zip
New: prototype Permanent Items edit window
This window isn't fully functional, but gives you an idea of the simplified editing. My idea is that the New and Edit buttons will open up a separate window - to reduce visual clutter. Also, items will support drag-and-drop functions for re-ordering existing items and moving items to new groups.
I'm looking for feedback on the new design.
3.0.3 test 1
ac-303-t1.zip
Fix: "All Items" not shown when no Permanent Items exist
Fix: Empty permanent item groups not shown
Back to work - 3.0.2 Test 2
ac-302-t2.zip
New: "Flush Clipboard" system tray command
Fix: -data command fix for 2 files
Fix: Edit window "sticking" when accelerator keys used on popup
Fix: "Maximum width" not loaded on restart
Fix: Broken chain detected, but not corrected
Official Release of 3.0.1
The v3.0.1 official release contains changes and fixes not in Beta Test 9. Be sure to update.
Release
I'll likely release this as an official version in a day or two.
The only change not in the last upload was a change to the font used for the window, so ClearType would be enabled for XP and Vista.
Test 9a
[download replaced by official release version]
Fix: Explicitly linked Vista Only procedures to prevent crash on non-Vista OSs
Test 9
[download replace by above version]
New: Vista Clipboard API support
Fix: Updated clipboard watcher method for non-Vista users
Fix: Clipboard chain configuration options locked in Vista
No more clipboard chain breaks in Vista - zero, zip, nada. If you've been playing with Windows Media Player 11, you'll soon realize it doesn't care that it breaks the old clipboard chain. In Vista, ArsClip monitors without fail - no matter how badly other programs misbehaive.
Test 8
[download replace by above version]
Fix: Program quits in Vista when hotkey pressed for High integrity process
I'll likely be updating the program later to detect the permission problem before prompting for "paste only" modes. It won't be very often that this condition happens since most everything runs in Medium integrity on Vista.
Test 7
[download replace by above version]
Fix: pictures smaller than tooltip maximum sizes are not scaled
NOTE: This is going to be the last of the new features for this version. Only fixes will be create (if any are needed).
Cliptype notes
The [F] and [P] (files and pictures) cliptype icons in ArsClip are different by design. These items contain no formatted or plain text to paste.
The next test version will not scale pictures smaller than the tooltip's maxium sizes.
