ArsClip

ArsClip used to be barebonez, but I think I can safely say that it has become a nicely featured program (due to user requests for changes). ArsClip remembers the last 15 (default) or more text entries entered into the Window's clipboard and can be configured to monitor non-text items. Delphi 6 (Personal) source code is included - modify it freely for any non-profit use. NOTE: The newer versions are compiled with Turbo Delphi for Win32 (also a free download).

These programs are known to break the clipboard chain. This list will be updated when more information is found and when a program author replies to my inquiry.
| Remote Desktop (WinXP) | - ( Somewhat Related KB Article User description of problem) |
| Visio | - I've had reports of errors when copying diagrams in Visio. |
Add "PreCaptureDelay=300" (without the quotes) to ArsClip.ini to insert a 300 millesecond delay before copying a new clipboard item. This workaround works for those that get errors when using ArsClip with Office - especially when you have Office's extended clipboard support turned on. You can raise or lower the delay as needed, because some systems will need more or less of a delay.
Remote Desktop (WinXP) breaks ArsClip and any other program that monitors the clipboard when you exit Remote desktop and keep your session running. The new detection system should automatically correct this problem for you.
There is a known problem with copying large amounts of text from IE where any program will fail to paste from the clipboard as anything but plain text. For example, copy everything from a page with a very large table and then go look at Clipbrd.exe or try to paste into Write.exe. Both will fail.
All previously know problems have been fixed. With any luck, no new bugs have been introduced.
