RDilly v1.1.0 released

RDilly has been updated with a new Restore Window. Now, you can, with a few click, restore your registry from a point-in-time backup.

Now, you can have something close to System Restore on a Win2k system.

Rename Master v2.6.2 released

When it rains, it poors. Version 2.6.1 had a constant screen refresh problem when diplaying certain file icons (like EXE files). This has been fixed in the uploaded version.

I've also updated the Beta Testers section with information about applying to be a Rename Master tester.

Rename Master v2.6.1 released

A quick update of RM has been released to fix some bugs. Thank your fellow RM users for emailing me and telling me about the problems.

I'm aware of the speed problem when there are more than 3800 items on the file list. This is actually isn't my fault [for once], but the fix is going to take a major rewrite of the interface to work around. I'm experimenting with a prototype but the new changes introduces many new problems.

Rename Master v2.6.0 released

I may be asking for trouble, but there's not better way to test my news site design than to release an update.

The most notable change is the updated interface. By default, most of the buttons have been moved to menus for a much cleaner and simplified look. The new menus allow for almost every item to have a shortcut key, but there is still a toggle to show the old interface.

Also, for those that hated the purple-on-white color scheme, there's a new configuration option to customize the colors of most items on the main form.
