Important StartRight Update

I've released an important update (v1.3.3) for StartRight.

The Restore function was failing to restore and failing to detect the error for some Run keys. The would effectively delete the items. Also, a regularly updated current CPU percent label has been added to the run progress window. This is a small part of the improved AutoTune process planned for the next release.

Note: I've released the first Public Beta test version that further improves the AutoTune feature.

ArsClip and Vista

I've already had a report that ArsClip breaks in Vista. The clipboard chain is rewritten in Vista to make chain breaks a thing of the past.

I don't have access to an advanced copy of Vista, so I'm going to have to do this the hard way. I need feedback and testing from ArsClip and Vista users so I can attempt to work around the problem. If you can help, send me an email. I'll be using the Public Beta area for uploads and posts on progress.

Not so minor StartRight release

I've released the next version of StartRight, which includes fixes and new features to help eliminate the most common user problems.

- Auto-detection (exclusion) of protected run keys for anti-virus/firewall software entires

- Restore updated to place items back into the original location, even an offline user registry

- A new Restore window show exactly what happens and allows for optional restoring of items. Any failed items are shown and batch files and/or registry files are created to let the user try again at a later time.

Maintenance Release

I've uploaded a bug fix release of Rename Master. This release contains both cosmetic fixes as well as some [Add 2], search, and meta-variable fixes.

A small rename

I've renamed the Beta Testers section on the left to Public Betas.

As long as I get feedback from some users about the betas that are posted, I plan updating this section with new preview versions. This section is a test to see if it's worth releasing beta versions and letting the users get their feedback in to help change these programs for the better.

Currently, I'm not getting feedback, but I'll give this some time before trashing the idea.
